Availability: JIRA JIRA SERVICE MANAGEMENT

Category: PROGRESS

With the Progress field, you gain the ability to accurately track and visualize the advancement of tasks, issues, and projects within your Jira workflows. This custom field provides a dynamic representation of work completion, allowing teams to easily monitor and communicate the status of their work items. You can set values manually or based on progress of child issues.

Field Configuration

Before starting the field configuration, please follow the instructions for creating custom fields

Create a Custom Field

Step 1: Set a name and description

Provide a good name for the new custom field. Make it descriptive, concise, and easy to understand for others who will use it. Avoid using ambiguous or overly technical terms.

Step 2: Configure your custom field

In this step you can configure the progress bar styles, size and color of the custom field.

Step 3 (optional): Progress based on child-issues

Also you can activate a dependency, so the value of the progress is based on the number of closed child-issues .
