Spacecraft administrators have access to all app settings. This includes assigning permissions, as well as managing sites and templates. Permissions in Spacecraft are managed via Confluence groups.

To assign admin permissions on your site, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Site Manager: Permissions tab and select the Add groups button.

IMPORTANT
Upon installation, only Confluence admins have the permissions to add groups because no Spacecraft admins exist initially. Once you’re granted Spacecraft admin permissions, you can add groups. 

  1. Choose one or more of the existing groups and select Add groups. The available groups for selection are Confluence user groups created previously.

NOTE
User groups added from this Permissions tab are granted the ADMINISTRATOR role. No other roles are available.

Confluence Administrator

If you’re a Confluence administrator you can create new user groups and update existing ones if needed. Select the Manage Confluence groups link to open the Groups page (see admin.atlassian.com > Directory > Groups).
